1 year agoMiami Heat guard Kyle Lowry is owed $29.7 million for the remaining year of his contract, which is quite a hefty price for an undersized 37-year-old point guard that missed 27 games last year. As reported by Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, the team has considered waiving the veteran guard if they can't find a trade partner so that they won't be hit with any luxury taxes. They would likely waive and stretch Lowry's contract so that they have the flexibility next season to sign Gabe Vincent to an extension, but they would owe Lowry around $9 million for the next three seasons if that's the case.--Alex Fischbein - RotoBaller
