5 years agoPortland Trail Blazers center Hassan Whiteside is not expected to lose the starting center job after the All-Star break, according to Jason Quick. Jusuf Nurkic (calf) has no set timetable to return after suffering a setback in January. However, Nurkic will be involved in the rotation once he's ready to return. He'll likely be on a minutes limit and could be held out of back-to-back sets. Whiteside could lose a few minutes, but it sounds like he's secured the starting center job for the remainder of the season. Fantasy owners shouldn't be worried about Whiteside's fantasy value taking a dramatic drop.
