3 years agoThe St. Louis Cardinals activated outfielder Harrison Bader (rib) from the 10-day injured list on Thursday and optioned outfielder Lars Nootbaar to Triple-A Memphis in a corresponding move. Bader missed five weeks with a fracture in his rib cage, but he will return to the team's lineup against Colorado Rockies right-hander Antonio Senzatela. The 27-year-old's return should push Dylan Carlson to a corner outfield spot. Bader has a modest power/speed combination for those in deep mixed leagues, but he's more of a defensive asset for the Red Birds. In his 22 games played in 2021, Bader is slashing just .219/.301/.411 with four home runs, eight runs scored, nine RBI and three stolen bases in four attempts. He'll be more attractive in DFS in his return at hitter-friendly Coors Field this weekend.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
