Josh Reddick Unlikely To Duplicate 2017 Successes
7 years agoHouston Astros outfielder Josh Reddick had a total resurgance last season, hitting a career high .314 with 13 home runs, 34 doubles, 82 runs batted in and a high career mark of a .482 slugging percentage. The veteran outfielder was used primarily from the two spot in the lineup in the first half of the year and he thrived. From the two hole, Reddick hit .296 with eight home runs and 32 runs batted in. Setting the table for a dangerous Astros lineup also resulted in Reddick scoring a career high 77 runs. But fantasy owners may be disappointed if Reddick can't duplicate his .314 batting average and a decrease in driving in runs. In 130 at-bats with runners in scoring position last season Reddick hit .346 with 11 extra base hits. Reddick will still hit in a potent Houston offense but will be hard pressed to duplicate his 2017 numbers. Reddick will head into fantasy drafts as a player worthy of being owned in most leagues but will struggle to match his numbers from last season.
