Gus Edwards Down To A Flex Option In Week 16
12 months agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards is back as the clear leader of the backfield now that Keaton Mitchell (knee) is done for the season. On the other side of the field, the San Francisco 49ers rank 12th against opposing backfields, allowing 18.9 fantasy points per game. They've also allowed the seventh-fewest rushing yards per game since Week 10. Edwards, on the other hand, ranks 23rd in explosive run rate at 4.3% and he sees 60.7% of the team's rushing attempts inside the five. So, with Edwards being around the middle of the pack against a tougher defense, his value hovers around a RB3/flex option for fantasy managers that need to depend on him in the playoffs.
