Gunnar Nelson continues to show why he is one of the most dangerous mat finishers in the UFC's welterweight division, scoring a first-round submission win over the always tough Bryan Barberena on Saturday. In 4:51 of action, Nelson tallied 10 significant strikes (20 total strikes) but held a control time of 3:13. After working through his progressions on the mat, Nelson was able to eventually lock in an armbar for the victory.
