Gunnar Henderson Expected To Play In Spring Game Monday
9 months agoBaltimore Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that third baseman Gunnar Henderson (oblique) is expected to play in the team's Grapefruit League game on Monday. The Orioles have held Henderson out of the early spring training slate due to an oblique injury that he suffered early in camp. The 22-year-old's injury was never considered serious, though, and they have been slow-playing him strictly as a precaution. As long as he doesn't suffer a setback with his oblique injury once he begins playing in Grapefruit League games, he should be just fine for Opening Day in late March. Henderson backed up the hype as one of the faces of the future for the franchise with a breakout 2023 season, and he should be considered a top-five fantasy third base target in upcoming drafts.
