The Philadelphia Phillies linked up with the Baltimore Orioles again for the second time in a week to send more bullpen pieces down the Beltway. Baltimore reunited high-leverage reliever Gregory Soto with his former Philadelphia teammate, Seranthony Dominguez. Soto joins a crowded cast in Baltimore, where it appears he's headed for a middle relief role, bridging the gap between Yennier Cano and Craig Kimbrel. With two saves on three chances and seven holds in 2024, Soto has pitched to a 4.08 ERA and 44 Ks in 35 and 1/3 innings. Baltimore is going to win many games down the stretch, and Soto is definitely someone who should be added to all watch lists, especially given the recent shakiness of Kimbrel, who's blown six saves this year and has a 7.27 ERA in July.--Jay Skadooley - RotoBaller
