Gordon Hayward Enjoys All-Around Performance
5 years agoBoston Celtics forward Gordon Hayward finished with a team-high plus/minus of plus-17 against the Magic on Wednesday, a testament to his impact in multiple facets of the game. The former Butler star tallied a gaudy stat line of 23 points, seven rebounds, seven dimes and came up with a pair of steals in 35 minutes of action. Not only that, but Hayward was impressively efficient, shooting 10-for-16 overall and 2-for-3 from beyond the arc. With Kemba Walker (knee) sitting out, the 29-year-old was handed the keys to Boston's offense, and he thrived as the team's primary playmaker. There is a good chance Hayward will once again be a central part of the Celtics offense when they take on the Atlanta Hawks on Friday.
