Detroit Red Wings forward Andreas Athanasiou failed to score a goal on three shots against Buffalo, stretching his goalless start to the season one game further. After scoring 30 goals last year, breaking the 20 goal threshold for the first time in his career, Athanasiou has gone ice cold to start the season. Athanasiou has registered at least two shots in seven of his nine games, but with only two assists and one power-play point to his name this year, he has produced very little fantasy value. He did miss the beginning of the season with an injury, so he could still be feeling some lingering effects from that, but until he starts to score again regularly, he can be safely left on the waiver wire.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
