Giants Optimistic About Saquon Barkley
New York Giants head coach Joe Judge said that running back Saquon Barkley (ankle) is making "good progress," and he's "pretty optimistic" about him heading into a Monday night meeting with the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 8. Barkley has a chance to return to practice on Friday after sitting out on Thursday, but it remains to be seen if the 24-year-old will be able to return this week after missing the last two games with a low ankle sprain. Making things more difficult for fantasy managers is the fact that the game is on Monday this week, so Barkley will be extremely dicey if he's a game-time decision. If he misses another game, Devontae Booker will have RB2/3 value, although his floor will be lowered against a Chiefs defense that has been strong against opposing RBs in recent weeks.
