Giancarlo Stanton's Status Unknown For Game 4
5 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he's "not sure" if outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (quadriceps) will be ready for Game 4 of the American League Championship Series against the Astros on Thursday. Stanton went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in the Game 1 win but was injured and hasn't played the last two games. The good news is that Game 4 was pushed back to Thursday after being rained out on Wednesday, so perhaps that'll give Stanton the needed rest in order to return. Cameron Maybin started in left field in Game 2 and Aaron Hicks entered the lineup in Game 3's loss. The Yankees need all the offensive help they can get to tie the series up, so hopefully Stanton can return soon.
