Giancarlo Stanton Suffered Grade 2 Quad Strain
5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (quadriceps) suffered a Grade 2 quadriceps strain in the American League Championship Series against the Astros, according to general manager Brian Cashman. It was a year full of injuries for the 29-year-old, as he played in just 18 games in the regular season and hit .288/.403/.492 with three home runs and 13 RBI. He's a risky early-round fantasy selection coming off an injury-plagued season, but remember that Stanton hit a league-leading 59 home runs in 2017 and followed it up with 38 round-trippers in 2018. There's still a lot to like about him in this powerful Yankees lineup as long as he can stay on the field.
