Gerrit Cole Has Mixed Results During Spring Debut
10 months agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Gerrit Cole made his spring debut against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. The veteran right-hander saw mixed results during Friday's win. Cole allowed two runs on four hits over two innings of work. The 33-year-old stuck out one batter and didn't issue a walk during his short outing. He served up a two-run home run to Daniel Vogelbach in the opening frame. After that, Cole settled down and looked fairly sharp. Fantasy managers shouldn't read too much into this outing and believe in Cole as the ace pitcher he'll likely continue to be in 2024.
