5/19:Colorado Rockies outfielder Gerardo Parra has seen his playing time get cut by the presence of youngsters David Dahl and Noel Cuevas, but he made the most of his late-game appearance on Friday by knocking a single and stealing second base. With just one home run in his last 38 games, Parra has had to look elsewhere to provide value worthy of a roster spot. He’s racked up five steals so far, which is more than double the amount he snagged in three times as many plate appearances last season. Unfortunately, the constant presence of youths like Dahl, Cuevas, and Raimel Tapia probably mean that Parra’s days as the regular starter are drawing to a close even with his newfound thievery.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
