George Hill Scores 15 Points In Start
6 years agoCleveland Cavaliers point guard George Hill had a solid scoring game but did not do much else against the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. He scored 15 points, on an efficient 6-for-11 shooting and shot a perfect 3-for-3 from the free-throw line. But he failed to fill the stat-sheet in other areas, getting just three rebounds, and a steal, in his 23 minutes of action. Hill has fallen off a ton since his strong 2016-17 campaign and may not even be worth picking up in 12-team leagues this year. Hill could be a decent add short-term, but he’ll eventually lose out minutes to Cavaliers rookie Collin Sexton. Moreover, Sexton played more minutes than Hill in this game, so Hill may lose minutes sooner rather than later. Owners should monitor the Cavaliers point guard situation on Saturday night against the Indiana Pacers, but at the moment neither of them is worth picking up.
