5 months agoColorado Rockies second baseman/outfielder Garrett Hampson may finally be getting the hang of the majors. After struggling throughout the season, Hampson has seemed to finally find a bit of footing in September. Hampson was the back end of a back-to-back homer combo on Friday against the Padres, and that helped raise his September batting average up to .296. He's hit a homer in each of the last three months, and he's even stolen a pair of bases already this month, matching his monthly high. It's been a battle for Hampson, but he was a strong speed and average prospect before getting called up this year. Maybe he's finally getting in the groove.--Billy Stonick - RotoBaller
