6 years agoThe Colorado Rockies have sent second baseman Garrett Hampson back to Triple-A to try to work out what's wrong with his swing, and they've called up atrocious utility man Pat Valaika to take his spot because they apparently hate Brendan Rodgers. Hampson was given 93 scattered at-bats to prove himself, and he hit a paltry .194 with one home run and one stolen base, so it's not surprising to see him sent back down to the minors. The speedster will likely have to perform well and wait for an injury or multiple offseasons to clear a path for him, like what happened with Raimel Tapia, and then he'll have to blow everyone away when he gets his next chance.
