Gabriel Davis 2021 Outlook: A Sleeping Giant in Orchard Park
4 years agoWhen the Buffalo Bills released John Brown this offseason, wide receiver Gabriel Davis was thrust immediately into the replacement conversation. Davis, a second-year player out of Central Florida, is competing with veterans Cole Beasley and Emmanuel Sanders for the bulk of targets after Stefon Diggs gets his share. From a production standpoint, Davis excelled in the fourth-receiver role that he played last season, securing 35 receptions and establishing himself as a key red-zone target with seven touchdowns. His competitors, Beasley and Sanders, are each approaching the twilight of their careers, with Beasley recovering from a broken fibula. Davis is a high-upside young player, who could be in a crunch for targets early on, but flashed a lot of exciting potential in 2020. Keep an eye on Gabriel Davis as a late-round flyer with top-30 potential if he can squeeze out the elder statesmen in the Buffalo receiving corps early on.
