Gabe Davis Could Be Pushed Out Of Buffalo
10 months agoBuffalo Bills impending free-agent wide receiver Gabe Davis could be pushed off the roster this offseason, according to The Athletic's Joe Buscaglia. The Bills have long been admirers of Davis' talent, but he's likely to receive the biggest contract of any Bills free agent in March, and he's already stated he intends to test the open market. He's only 25, and it wouldn't be a surprise if Davis received a deal topping what Jakobi Meyers got last offseason ($11 million APY). The hefty price tag, coupled with Davis' on-field inconsistency in 2023, is expected to push him off the roster in 2024. Davis failed to provide the big-play option opposite Stefon Diggs that Buffalo needed late in the year. He finished with seven touchdowns but disappeared more often than not and didn't even play in either of the team's two playoff games due to a knee injury.
