Frederik Andersen Beats Boston With 24 Saves
2 years agoCarolina Hurricanes goaltender Frederik Andersen stopped 24 of 25 shots in Sunday's 4-1 victory over the Bruins, improving to 10-3-0 for the season. The Hurricanes No. 1 had a miserable outing in his previous start against Dallas when he gave up two goals on six shots and had to exit with an injury, but he bounced back in a big way against the league leaders. The Bruins were kept under two goals for only the third time this season. Andersen's work was a bit inconsistent at the start of the campaign, but he has done superbly since returning from injury, going 5-0-0 with a 1.88 goals-against average and a .934 save percentage.
