Freddie Freeman Slashing .329/.389/.537 In August
Freddie Freeman got off to a slow start to the 2021 season. Through the first two months of the year, he slashed just .235/.364/.464. However, since the start of June, he has been one of the best hitters in the majors. He posted an OPS of .868 in June, then went on to generate an obscene OPS of 1.063 in July. He's continued to stay hot in August, slashing .329/.389/.537 with four home runs, 11 RBI and 17 runs over 21 games. If the Braves can hold on to first place in the NL East, he'll have a strong case to repeat as NL MVP.
