Franmil Reyes Sparks Scuffling Friars Offense
6 years agoSan Diego Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes blasted his 17th home run Monday against the Philadelphia Phillies. Reyes’ solo shot in the fifth inning kicked off an eight-run surge for the scuffling Padres in the victory. The 23-year-old slugger is slashing a sturdy .247/.292/.559 with 55 runs-plus-RBI on the year and tied with fellow outfielder Hunter Renfroe for the team lead in homers. He is pummeling the ball with a .570 expected slugging percentage and 17 percent barrel rate. Even with a high strikeout rate, Reyes’ batted-ball profile suggests he should remain a reliable power source in all fantasy formats.
