Francisco Lindor Says He Played Through Pain Last Year
10 months agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (elbow) said that he played through a lot of discomfort last season, but his elbow is feeling really good heading into the 2024 campaign. President of baseball operations David Stearns hinted that Lindor wouldn't have any restrictions on him in spring training after he had surgery in October to remove a bone spur from his right elbow. The 30-year-old All-Star didn't actually miss any time due to the injury in 2023, ultimately finishing with a .254/.336/.470 slash line, 31 home runs and 31 stolen bases in 160 games played. It was the first time he had an OPS above .800 since 2019, which is impressive considering he was playing hurt. RotoBaller currently has him ranked just outside the top-30 overall players for 2024.
