Francisco Lindor Breaks Hitless Streak Thursday

New York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor ended an 0-for-26 slide at the plate with a hard-hit single in the team's 4-1 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. Lindor finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a run scored, three walks and a strikeout. He's now hitting .163/.297/.207 on the season with just one home run, 11 runs scored, and three RBI in his first 112 plate appearances for the Mets. That's certainly not what the Mets or fantasy managers envisioned when he was traded over from the Cleveland Indians in the offseason. Lindor's barrel rate, exit velocity and launch angle have dipped, but the good news is that his BABIP should improve and he does have 16 walks against 15 strikeouts so far. He should turn things around eventually, so if you're looking for a buy-low window, it's right now.
