Filip Gustavsson To Start Wednesday
10 months agoMinnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson will be between the pipes for Wednesday's road game against the Chicago Blackhawks. The 25-year-old has taken a sizeable step back this season and a monster 2.10 goals-against average and a .931 save percentage across 39 games (37 starts) last season, going 22-9-7 in that time. This season, he owns a 3.28 GAA and .896 Sv% across 29 outings (28 starts) alongside a 13-13-2 record. This is despite the Wild sitting first in the NHL in expected goals against per 60 minutes of five-on-five action, as per Natural Stat Trick. Gustavsson and his team will have a nice opportunity to get their second half started right against a Blackhawks team that sits dead last in the overall standings and in overall offense this season.
