Filip Gustavsson Produces 41-Save Shutout
1 year agoMinnesota Wild goaltender Filip Gustavsson looked like a brick wall in the team's season opener against Florida on Thursday, pushing aside 41 shots in a 2-0 win. Gustavsson needed to be sharp right from the off and had 13 stops in the first period alone. He's the fourth Wild goalie to register a shutout in a season-opening game. The Swedish netminder made a major breakthrough last season and got the new campaign off to a perfect start as well. However, there's now time to rest on his laurels, as the Wild take a trip to Toronto on Saturday.
