6/25:Pittsburgh Pirates closer Felipe Vazquez was brilliant in his only inning pitched on Monday against the New York Mets. The closer struck out the side on 15 pitches, including several that were 100 mph or more. That gives Vazquez 38 strikeouts in 30 2/3 innings and makes him 15-for-19 in save opportunities this season. The biggest issue is going to be the amount of opportunities he might have the rest of the way, or the lack thereof. The Bucs have two more against the Mets and will finish with a weekend series against the Padres, so Vazquez should have more opportunities soon.--Aaron Russell - RotoBaller
