Detroit Red Wings rookie right wing Evgeny Svechnikov scored his first career goal on Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers. The goal came in the second period against former Red Wing Petr Mrazek and resulted in Mrazek being pulled from the game. Svechnikov also recorded a career-high four shots on net while logging 8:38 of time on ice. He has been used almost exclusively on the fourth line since being brought up from the minors but had a few chances to play further up the lineup on Tuesday night, including a shift with Dylan Larkin, which led to his goal. For now, the young winger does not hold any fantasy value, but if he can secure a top-six role with the Red Wings next year, he will be someone to keep an eye on.--Russ Ivanac - RotoBaller
