3 months agoEdmonton Oilers left wing Evander Kane (sports hernia) is scheduled to undergo surgery in the next 10 days, Sportsnet's Mark Spector reported Friday. Kane played through a sports hernia all season last year and will now get the issue fixed surgically. It's not yet clear how much time Kane will miss due to the surgery, but he looks set to start the season on Injured Reserve. Kane put up 24 goals and 44 points in 77 games last season. His scoring average of 0.57 points per game marked the lowest he's had since the 2015-16 campaign.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
