Edmonton Oilers left wing Evander Kane was involved in a very scary incident on Tuesday against Tampa Bay, suffering a cut wrist in the second period. Tampa's Patrick Maroon accidentally stepped on Kane's left wrist after he was knocked down on the ice along the boards. Fortunately, the team announced pretty quickly that Kane was in stable condition, and he was transported to a hospital where he underwent a procedure on his injured wrist. It's currently unknown how much time Kane is forced to miss, but he is expected to make a full recovery and that's the most important thing. The 31-year-old has tallied five goals and eight assists in 14 games for the Oilers this season.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
