Esa Lindell Drives Scoring for Stars on Friday
5 years agoDallas Stars defenseman Esa Lindell picked up the primary assist on three of Dallas' four goals on Friday in a win over the Red Wings. Lindell's first multi-point night of the season gives him 14 assists and 16 points on the year. Not known for his offensive contributions, Lindell is now on pace to reach the 30 point plateau for the second time in his career. The 25-year-old blueliner is second only to Miro Heiskanen in ice time per game this season and is seeing a healthy amount of time on the second power-play unit. Between his play style and usage, Lindell's biggest fantasy asset is his shot-blocking. With 75 blocked shots this season, he sits just outside of the top 20 in the league. Unfortunately, Lindell does not produce enough in the other fantasy categories to be anything more than an inexpensive matchup based streamer or daily play.
