Erik Jones likely will not come close to contending at Atlanta even though he has a decent record on intermediate tracks with a 13.9 average finish and one win. The problem is that does not seem to apply to Atlanta that well. He moved up one position this year in the first race (24th to 23rd). He starts 22nd and the Richard Petty Motorsports driver could easily get mired in the middle of the field again. That happened at Pocono and on the Sunday race, he had several problems causing him to go down four laps by the finish. Likely, the No. 43 car is tempting but produces no tangible results again on Sunday. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
