Emmet Sheehan Strikes Out 13 In Six Perfect Innings
Emmet Sheehan didn't allow a baserunner in six perfect innings while striking out 13 in Wednesday's 16-0 win against Triple-A Sacramento. Sheehan picked up the win in dominant fashion, with a ridiculous 21 swinging strikes on 42 swings. The four-seamer sat at a season high 97.3 MPH in the outing and overpowered opposing hitters, accounting for 15 of the 21 whiffs. The 25-year-old right-hander did well in his return to the majors on June 18 with four scoreless innings and six strikeouts. He continues to build up his pitch count as he reached 73 in this outing. The Dodgers rotation has more healthy arms than rotation spots at the moment, but that can always change and with Sheehan's strikeout upside, he'd be worth an add in most formats.
