Eloy Jimenez Reinstated And Starting On Sunday
6 months agoThe Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder/designated hitter Eloy Jimenez (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list on Sunday and optioned outfielder Oscar Colas to Triple-A Charlotte in a corresponding move. Jimenez is right back in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Detroit Tigers and right-hander Reese Olson, serving as the designated hitter and batting third in the order. In seven career at-bats against Olson, Jimenez hasn't recorded a single hit. The 27-year-old has been sidelined since straining his left hamstring on May 21, but he went 8-for-18 with a homer, double and five RBI on his minor-league rehab assignment in the Arizona Complex League. Despite his inability to stay on the field consistently due to injuries, Jimenez deserves to be rostered in most fantasy leagues now that he's back in the fold.
