Eloy Jimenez Could Do Some Running Wednesday
9 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) is "better today" and could do some running, according to manager Pedro Grifol. "We haven't made a roster move because we feel there is a possibility (he could play in KC)," Grifol said. Jimenez suffered a minor left-groin injury on Sunday and is missing his third straight game in the series finale against the Atlanta Braves on Wednesday. However, the White Sox remain optimistic that he won't need to go on the injured list, and he could return for the series in Kansas City against the Royals that starts on Thursday. When the 27-year-old does return, it will likely be as the designated hitter to keep him off his feet as much as possible. Gavin Sheets has been the team's DH the last three games with Jimenez out of action.
