Elias Pettersson has reached an agreement with the Vancouver Canucks on a new three-year, $22.05 million ($7.35 million average annual value) contract on Sunday. The 22-year-old restricted free agent, who was holding out for a new deal during the first few weeks of training camp, is coming off an injury-riddled season in which he posted 21 points (10 goals, 11 assists) in 26 games with the Canucks in 2020-2021. The ultra-talented center has established himself as Vancouver's top middlemen for years to come and should capitalize on a hopeful full bill of health in 2021-2022. Pettersson has recorded 153 points (65 goals, 88 assists), a plus-19 rating, 51 power-play points and 369 shots in 165 career NHL games. Checking in at #39 in Yahoo's preseason draft rankings, the Swedish native could return serious value to his fantasy owners this season.--Chase Davis - RotoBaller
