1 year agoThe Kansas City Royals reinstated outfielder Edward Olivares (oblique) from the 10-day injured list on Tuesday and optioned infielder/outfielder Samad Taylor to Triple-A Omaha in a corresponding move. Olivares is back with the Royals for the first time since July 7 when he strained his left oblique. He's right back in the starting lineup on Tuesday against Detroit Tigers left-hander Tarik Skubal, serving as the designated hitter and batting seventh in the lineup. The 27-year-old should see semi-regular playing time for the lowly Royals now that he's back between DH duties and left field. He's returning to a .242/.296/.410 slash line with six home runs, 12 doubles, four triples, 15 RBI, eight stolen bases and 30 runs scored in 67 games.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
