Eduardo Rodriguez Goes 5 2/3 Innings
6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez was pulled after 5 2/3 innings and 89 pitches after allowing two earned runs on six hits. He earned the win and struck out seven Royals in this one and just missed the quality start. He was pulled for Heath Hembree after allowing a single and stolen base to Aldaberto Mondesi. This start brings him to a 6-3 record with a 4.88 ERA, a 1.37 WHIP, and 73 strikeouts in 66 1/3 innings. E-Rod can be a bit frustrating to own as he has some up and down starts but is certainly worth owning in all leagues for the strikeout and win upside. He'll get a much tougher matchup this weekend against the Rays but is still startable.
