Edouard Julien Returns Against Tigers
1 year agoMinnesota Twins rookie second baseman Edouard Julien (hamstring) has returned to the keystone and is batting leadoff for the Twins on Wednesday against the visiting Detroit Tigers and right-hander Reese Olson. Julien missed just one game on Tuesday due to a mild hamstring issue, but he's back in action on Wednesday. The 24-year-old Canadian infielder has impressed so far in his first MLB season, hitting .281/.378/.479 with an .857 OPS, 10 home runs, 11 doubles, a triple, 18 RBI, three stolen bases and 37 runs scored in 255 trips to the plate over 70 games played. Julien has plenty of value in mixed leagues hitting atop Minnesota's batting order, but he's also gone just 7-for-36 (.194) with no homers or RBI, a stolen base and seven runs scored in 12 games (10 starts) so far in August.
