9 months agoEdmen Shahbazyan got back in the win column after a disappointing setback, stopping AJ Dobson at UFC Vegas 89. Shahbazyan started his career on an undefeated run but had run into a 1-4 skid over his past five contests. He got back on track by knocking out Dobson in the first round. Shahbazyan was rocked badly by Dobson but managed to turn the tables with a furious combination that caught Dobson and sent him stumbling back against the cage wall. Sensing that his opponent was hurt, Shahbazyan swarmed Dobson and reigned down some ground and pound until the referee was forced to stop the fight. In 4:33 of action, Shahbazyan landed a takedown and 27 significant strikes. Shahbazyan's victory sets the stage for potential future challenges against elite competition.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
