2 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles hired Seattle Seahawks associate head coach/defensive assistant Sean Desai for their defensive coordinator job on Tuesday. Desai will be replacing Jonathan Gannon, who left to become the new head coach of the Arizona Cardinals this offseason. The 39-year-old spent the bulk of his NFL coaching career with the Chicago Bears, working under long-time defensive coordinator Vic Fangio. Fangio served as a defensive consultant for the Eagles in their run to the Super Bowl, so Desai should carry over some of the same principles in 2023 as he looks to maintain a defense that was elite in 2022. They ranked second in yards allowed and eighth in the league in points allowed while tallying 70 sacks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
