Eagles, Avonte Maddox Agree On Three-Year Extension
3 years agoThe Philadelphia Eagles and cornerback Avonte Maddox agreed to a three-year, $22.5 million contract extension on Saturday that includes $13.3 million guaranteed, according to sources. The Eagles locked up Maddox and tight end Dallas Goedert on long-term extensions on consecutive days heading into a Week 11 game against the New Orleans Saints. Maddox, 25, was the team's fourth-round selection in the 2018 draft out of Pittsburgh. He's been a reliable slot presence for the Eagles and has a career-high 48 tackles (31 solo), one interception, four passes defensed, two forced fumbles and half a sack in 10 games for the Eagles this season. Against a Saints offense that will be missing running back Alvin Kamara (knee) this weekend, the Eagles defense could be a sneaky streaming option in Week 11.
