Dylan Larkin Scores 10th Goal Of Season
5 years agoDetroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin kicked off the scoring Friday with a first-period goal that would end up being Detroit's only goal of the contest. Dallas followed with four goals of their own as Detroit failed to respond. After a breakout campaign last season where Larkin scored 32 goals, his production has fallen off, scoring only 10 goals through the halfway point of the season. Twice a 20-goal scorer in his four years in the NHL, it would not be a surprise to see Larkin pick up the pace, starting with his 7.8 percent shooting percentage, which would be the second-lowest of his career. Anyone who drafted Larkin based on his 73 points from last season has been disappointed with their return on investment this year, but with him safely locked on to Detroit's top line and top power-play unit, he will be given plenty of opportunities to turn in a third consecutive 60-point season.
