Dylan Larkin Leads the Way in Victory Over Flyers
7 years agoDetroit Red Wings forward Dylan Larkin scored two goals and an assist in a win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday night. The win snapped a 10-game losing streak for the Red Wings, and Larkin was arguably the biggest contributing factor in the win. Larkin had a team-high eight shots on net and was the only Red Wing to record more than one point on the night. He now has 53 points this year, which leads the team, but his 11 goals leave something to be desired. He has embraced more of a shooting role recently, averaging 4.2 shots per game in his last 10 games, which is a significant increase from his season average of 2.8 shots per game. Larkin had a shooting percentage of 10.0 percent over his first two years in the league but has seen a dramatic drop to 5.3 percent this year. If he can return to his previous shooting form, then 25 goals should be well within the realm of possibility next year.
