1 week agoBoston Red Sox manager Ron Roenicke said that second baseman Dustin Pedroia (knee) won't report with the rest of the position players on Monday. It is now unlikely that Pedroia will be in spring training this year because of the significant setback he had with his left knee last month. The four-time All-Star and former Rookie of the Year and MVP has played in just nine games the last two seasons because of injuries, and the writing seems to be on the wall for the 36-year-old to hang up his cleats if he can't get back on the field in 2020. At this point, it would be a pretty big surprise if Pedroia contributed to the Red Sox major league club this season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
