The Boston Red Sox are planning on sending second baseman Dustin Pedroia down to Triple-A Pawtucket on either Monday or Tuesday for a rehab stint. Pedroia has been recovering from knee surgery for the past few months. This is great news for the Red Sox as they could use his sure-handedness in the infield with Eduardo Nunez struggling defensively. Pedroia had a fantastic 2017 which saw him record a .293 average alongside 62 RBI in just 105 games. It seems likely that Pedroia will be activated by the end of the month and he could provide immediate production for fantasy owners thin at second base. Pedroia will be batting at the bottom of the order upon return but in a loaded Red Sox lineup that will still give him plenty of opportunities to drive in runs.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
