Dustin May Weeks Away From Throwing
2 years agoAccording to Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, starting pitcher Dustin May (forearm) is still weeks away from tossing a baseball, MLB.com reports. The 25-year-old sustained a right forearm strain during his start on May 17 and was subsequently placed on the 60-day injured list. May hopes to avoid surgery and return when eligible on July 17. Prior to the ailment, the right-hander owned a 4-1 record with a 2.63 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, and 18.2% strikeout rate across nine starts. Fantasy managers should stash the talented arm on the injured list in deep leagues, but those in shallower formats can look to replace May on the waiver wire.
