Dustin May Gets The Ball Thursday Versus D-backs

Los Angeles Dodgers starting pitcher Dustin May will get the start Thursday as the Dodgers travel to take on the D-backs in Arizona. Thursday marks the second start of the season for May who was excellent in his first start of the season against these same D-backs in Los Angeles on March 31. The right-hander hurled seven shutout innings while allowing just three hits and one walk against four strikeouts on the evening. May, who underwent Tommy John surgery early in 2021, threw just 84 pitches to get through seven frames with 56 of those going for strikes. He takes on a scuffling D-backs offense that sits 28th with a .268 wOBA in the early stages of the 2023 campaign.
