5 months agoColorado Rockies catching prospect Drew Romo went 2-for-5 at the plate on Friday evening with his second home run is as many days. Since the start of July, the 22-year-old has held a strong .300/.344/.600 line. Overall through his first extended look at Triple-A pitching, the Woodland HS product has looked quite comfortable with a stellar .302/.334/.513 slash line and 12 homer runs. He has also tallied 49 RBI and swiped three bags. Romo spent most of last summer at Double-A and held a lower .254/.313/.440 line, which suggests he has taken a significant step forward at the top level of the minor leagues.
